Judging school effectiveness

Dear Colleagues,

In cities where parents are allowed to use "choice" programs regarding where their children might go to school, rather than students being sent to a neighborhood school, the parents must have some basis on which to regard one school as being a better one for their child.

This article investigates the issue of "school effectiveness."
