Cassini images

Postby Joseph Malkevitch » Sat Sep 09, 2017 11:11 am

Dear Colleagues,

Mathematics has made it possible to "explore" our solar system by using spacecraft that have traveled to, for example, Saturn. The Cassini spacecraft was among the most successful such missions though it will be ending its productive life on Sept. 15, 2017.

Here are some amazing images from Cassini which have dramatically changed our understanding of Saturn and its moons.
