Moscow mathematics

Dear Colleagues,

In the early 20th century many achievements of the Russian mathematics community were obscured due to the fact that lots of the work published in Russian was not easily read elsewhere, and later the Cold War contributed to these achievements not always being properly viewed.

Here is a long history of Russian mathematics centered on those people active in Moscow written mostly in Russian but with a summary in English.
