Dear Colleagues,

All K-8 education will be improved if more attention is paid to mathematical modeling, the use of contexts, and discussions of applications that involve mathematics in daily life (cell phones; DVD storage; systems to get to your destination quickly in cars - GPS, shortest path, etc.)

Here are some resources that California has made available as part of its current curriculum design:
