Dear Colleagues,
The 2018 Sackler Prize in the physical sciences has been awarded to Zohar Komargodski of the Weizmann Institute, Israel and the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, US, and to Pedro Vieira of the Perimeter Institute, Canada and the ICTP-SAIFR, Brazil for work related to quantum field theory.
Their work points out the fact that trying to understand the world around us leads to new mathematics as well as insight into the world around us.
