Errors in election vote counting

Postby Joseph Malkevitch » Sat Dec 16, 2017 12:37 pm

Dear Colleagues,

Mathematical insights into voting and elections are a very appealing way of pointing to the applicability of mathematics in settings where the mathematics may be complex but it is typically not that hard to get across the issues that are being looked at. Gil Kalai (Hebrew University) has written a very appealing note about computational and mathematical issues related to counting the results of elections properly.
